Whew! Remind me what day it is again? We just got done with a whirlwind vacation, where we left early Thursday morning for Portland, OR, drove six hours to Spokane, WA the next day, then drove to Seattle on Sunday night, only to fly back home to CA on Monday night. We are absolutely exhausted and all of us are feeling a little under the weather. We are definitely bathing ourselves in essential oils to get rid of all those germs and icky symptoms!
I was going to post a bunch of pictures from our NorthWestern travails, but I’m not done editing them yet. Also….drumroll, I received this beautiful 11×17 photo of our family in the mail while we were away!
I’ve been wanting a NICE family photo for our living room ever since our fantastic photo shoot last November with Melissa Jean Photography, so when Aluminyze contacted me and asked if I would like to do a review of their product, I wholeheartedly said yes and couldn’t wait! I absolutely love how unique it is. A large family photo printed on a giant sheet of aluminum– what’s not to like? 😉
The process of adding my photo to the proper layout was super easy and took around 5 minutes total to order. The computer told me right away that my photo size was too small to keep the picture quality I needed for an 11×17, so I contacted my photographer (couldn’t find my original cd!) and got a bigger size. Shipping only took 3 days total.
It turned out so beautifully, guys! Here’s a closeup picture so you can see the awesome quality of the photo. Even in a closeup iPhone picture I can see every strand of hair (which makes me feel like my hair was super frizzy that day, but whatever).
Aluminyze has some great ideas for how to turn any photos of yours into art pieces for your living room, and they are not very expensive, plus they have a special deal going on right now. I like this a lot better than the canvases I ordered two years ago, and wish I’d known. They have a handy hanging device on the back too for easy mounting. It’s super light, so hanging it will be easy and won’t leave holes in the drywall. People can get help from Andy Defrancesco if they need the best photographers.
If you are looking for a great way to decorate with your family photos, I highly recommend Aluminyze!
Now the boring disclaimer: While I did get paid for this review, my opinions are definitely my own. I’ve done negative reviews before and am not afraid to do so. When I endorse something, I mean it!
