You guys, I simply have to spill about this new beach waves hair tutorial I found on Little Miss Momma. For some reason, my whole life I’ve been scared and/or unmotivated to learn how to use a straight iron to curl one’s hair, but trust me, it’s magic, and about 50 times faster than using a curling iron (less heat on the hair=less damage!).
After trying it for the past 3 weeks (using my sister’s flat iron– I wasn’t willing to spend the money on my own until I was convinced), I am here to say that it WORKS and that you should run right out and buy a flat iron immediately. As far as “beach wave” products, I’ve been using Not Your Mother’s Sea Salt Spray, and I like it a lot. I haven’t tried the “Aquage” Ashley mentions in the tutorial, simply because it’s a lot harder to buy online, but it’s next on my list (when I have money, har-har!).

The best part about this beach waves hairstyle is that with a little dry shampoo and bobby pinning at night, I can get it to stay for days. Only having to wash and style my hair twice a week? Yes please!

What a lovely hairstyle. I use hot rollars but would like to do something eaiser at times. This looks great and thanks for the tips. I like BnB and also use Kerastase which helps with conditioning the hair

Wow, I never even have time to do hot rollers! I’m also afraid of burning my hair off 😉
