Need some party ideas for the garden/bug loving person in your life? This past weekend, I travelled 2 hours down to Santa Barbara for my old roommate’s bridal shower. She’s been in love with bugs and creepy crawlies her whole life (they even had a picture of her at 7, playing with a tarantula!), so we the bridesmaids decided that a bug themed party would suit her best.
Up above, you can see the dragonflies out of baby carrots and sugar snap peas. Just a couple of toothpicks, and voila! Nothing like this exists (yet!) on Pinterest, so I had to get creative in the grocery store. I love how they turned out!
And finally, the tissue paper flower bouquet that I made for her out of the discarded wrapping paper (tradition says that the bride is supposed to use this bouquet for the rehearsal). One of the girls and I used the tissue paper to make paper roses! Isn’t it lovely?

What a fun idea for a shower. I love the dragonflies made of carrots/pea pods!
Thanks! It was a great “theme” idea (that I can’t take credit for, haha!).
