My boots!!

Remember my boots? The ones that I got an Anthropologie for a crazy reduced price (and they STILL used up most of my birthday money!).

On the latest episode of Glee, I just spotted Quinn Fabray sporting them.

I hate to do a shout out to Glee. Especially with this song,”Do You Want to Touch Me” (by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts) sung here by Gyweneth Paltrow.

But, if you want to simply find my boots and get on with your life, you can see her feet dancing in them, 2:07-09. 2 Seconds. Then press stop.

I was really hoping I could just get a shot of Quinn (right) wearing them (so I didn't have to post the video), but this was the closest I got :(

Almost here!….

In honor of this new season of Glee starting soon, here are last season’s finale clips.

Glee and Les Mis

Last night’s Glee episode centered around “dreaming”. How could they resist putting Les Mis’ song, “I Dreamed A Dream”?

Amazing. Lea Michelle with her “mom”, famous Broadway singer from “Wicked”, Idina Menzel.

Or Aerosmith’s “Dream On”, with guest star Neil Patrick Harris?

Take 3 minutes…

…and do yourself a huge favor.

I am trying to be more controlled with how many awesome Glee clips I post. So here you go, the best two from the last two episodes.

By the way, Glee producers have done a great job censoring clips off of You-tube, so I actually had to find this at the New York Times video section. So, if it’s from the New York Times, you know it’s got to be good.

Glee: ‘Four Minutes’.

The other is a cover of Lionel Richie’s “Hello”, a duet sung by the lead character Rachel and a new character they just added, Jesse St. James. Apparently, (in real life) the 2 of them had already sung together on Broadway for many years in the musical, “Spring Awakening”.

Apparently, they are best friends in real life:

And, as a bonus, 2 of the best quotes:

Brittany: “Did you know that dolphins are really just gay sharks?”

<><><>

Will Schuster: “Okay class, what do you say when you answer the phone?”

Mercedes: “What up?”

Artie: “Who dis be?”

Kurt: “No she’s dead, this is her son.”

Tears of Glee

What’s with Glee being so heartbreaking? This was supposed to be a COMEDY!! Instead, I’ve actually found myself crying profusely the last two episodes,. Last week, it was when the supposedly mean cheerleading coach, Sue, goes to visit her mentally challenged sister in a ward and reads her Little Red Riding Hood after handing her a pom-pom.

This week, the first tear jerker-moment began when the leading male character, Finn, sings a song to his soon to be born baby girl in an effort to express the overwhelming feelings of love he has toward her. He knows that the mother has decided on adoption, but just can’t bear the thought of the baby not knowing just how much he cares. He sings the song while watching a video he saved of the first ultrasound. As this is going on, his mother walks in and finds out about the whole thing. It’s a very touching moment as the mother tries to forgive him and control her own disappointments and fears. (Skip to minute 3-6 of this clip in order to get to this part. Man, I just watched it again, and look! More tears! Wow.)

Also in last night’s episode, Quinn’s parents found out about her impending pregnancy and kicked her out of the house. This scene was especially hard to watch- I’m sure Courtney can back me up on this, but almost every teenager we got in the Whittier Pregnancy Care Clinic was afraid of this same thing happening to them. The terrific acting certainly helps the tear-jerking. It also is a direct contrast to Finn’s song to his unborn girl- he says he will stand by her no matter what, even in her darkest hour, and Quinn’s father says he no longer will call her his child.

This video clip even made national headlines for being the most cringe-tastic moment on television.

But what happens after she’s kicked out? She’s not only loved and accepted by her boyfriend’s mother, but also her friends, who sang her a ballad to show their love and support.

Preview!

I just found this on Youtube- previews for this week’s Glee episode wherein Kurt FINALLY gets to sing! Not only that, but it’s a song from Wicked!! The second half of the clip is Artie (wheel-chair guy) singing a Billy Idol song.

Break Dancing on Glee

I’m sorry. Will Schuster has to be my favorite character on television. Not only does he have an amazing voice, but he BREAK dances! Ignore the song choice- rap songs aren’t written for children.

Glee Covers Avril

This wasn’t one of the best musical numbers of the season, but it was a big moment in the series in terms of character development.  You will probably be able to tell which characters from watching the video. Or you could just watch the whole series on Hulu :) Again, hint hint!!

Girls and Guys Mash-up Contest

This week, there was a guys vs. girls contest on Glee. The girls did a Mashup of Beyonce’s “Halo” and “Walkin on Sunshine”, while the boys did “It’s My Life” from Bon Jovi and “Confessions” from Usher. Oh, and to make it even funnier, the “school nurse” gave all the kids “Vitamin D” (Sudafed) to give them energy! :)

Who do you think won?
