Babywearing

How many of you do it, and why?

For me, it’s the only way to get anything done when G just WON’T play by himself. I used to only use my carrier (s) when we were at church or the store, but they work SO WELL at home, that I’ve been using mine more and more. G is so content to just sit and watch me do my chores– it’s awesome! I did more research regarding the benefits of babywearing (again, a little late to the party, I know!) and have decided that Baby #2, whenever he/she comes, will start off being primarily worn instead of put in bouncers, swings, etc.

What do you guys all think?

  1. I don’t know, Kelly. David is 21 now and just came home for Easter break and he still insists on “wearing” me. After he grew to 6′ we called it roughhousing; now that he’s much taller (and stronger), I just call it painful. It’s usually the same position you and G are in, or with him hanging off my back. Watch out that what you start now can come back to haunt you!

  2. you know I do! :) with Solomon I did it bc I knew it was good for him…I practically had to force him to like my slings! but with Sera I did it mostly for survival. life sure is different when you have two (especially when they are really close together)!
