No, I’m not pregnant.
But I have wanted a DSLR camera for quite some time now! My iPhone has many things, but it doesn’t have the picture quality I’m looking for when it comes to taking pictures of my precious darlings. An added bonus is that I’ll be able to take better Pinterest-quality pictures of the food that I bake!
Basically, in leu of Christmas and Birthday (next month) presents, I asked for money to buy the Canon Rebel T3i. Amazon has quite the steal going on right now, so I bit the bullet and bought it! I did a TON of research before settling on this model, so I feel very confident that I will be able to take good pictures within a week or so, but that it will also grow with me. I have my eye on good wide angle and portrait lenses as well, so those should provide more of a challenge!

That’s the camera I got for Christmas too! I love all the user-friendly features. I’m not a photographer but I was ready for an upgrade from the iPhone/point-and-shoot and this was a perfect option. Looking forward to see what kind of pictures you take with it… Maybe I’ll gleam some tips from you.

I just go the 50mm F/1.8 lens for my canon and it’s a great lens for taking photo of your little ones (plus it’s a great price point!). Happy snapping photos!
