…with all the pots and pans floating around in my house, trying to collect rain.
Actually, just one pot. Apparently, the 60 mi. hour winds that battered our little town all last night (and probably got us worse since we are on the third floor!) took some shingles with them. Okay, a lot of shingles. Add onto that the 6-8 inches of rain we’ve received in the last 24 hours….

I called the office and she sighed and said that two other 3 story buildings were having the same problem. Repair men are already out buying supplies to patch up the roofs with more shingles this afternoon (see, the weather radar says that the rain is supposed to stop at 11am today. It’s now 11:30, and the wind, rain and thunder still sound like a zoo on steroids).
So, I’m guessing that “afternoon” is approximate, seeing as repair guys shouldn’t go up on slippery roofs with the howling wind and rain. But it’s nice to see that they are dedicated to their jobs!
