San Clemente Beach

Gregory and Momma at beach in waves

Last week, right before flying out of LAX for our new life in Dallas, we went to Jesse’s brother’s wedding in San Clemente (gorgeous pictures of that coming tomorrow!). We were able to book a hotel only 2 blocks from an amazingly beautiful beach. There was also a metro train station that ran right through it (with safety rails and flashing lights, never fear!), making it the perfect time for Gregory. He’d look up, and not 10 feet away there would be a train racing by (his first favorite thing). Then he’d go back to shoveling sand (his second favorite thing).

Our time here at San Clemente (and later at one of the best spots in Laguna Beach) was a fitting farewell to CA for the time being. We got to see some of the prettiest ocean front the state has to offer, experience gorgeous 80 degree sunshine and breezes, and play in water that wasn’t too cold. Anyone want to vacation here? Me too!

I do! What an amazing view. I’m a big girl and I still think trains are fascinating. We lived nearby to one for about a year and I found the whole process fun to sit and watch:) Best of luck in Dallas!
