Breakfast with the High School Besties

Yesterday morning, Tess, Steph and I convened at the Beef Palace in Templeton. In case you don’t know, Tess and Steph are my two best friends from high school. Actually, it goes back further than that, seeing as I’ve been friends with Tess since I was four, and remember Steph chasing me on the playground in the 1st grade. Tess was also the Maid of Honor in both of our weddings:)

Brooke and Rachel’s Adoption Party

Around this time last year, Brooke told the family that she was considering adopting a 13 year old girl that she was helping at Family Care Network. On December 16th, after having lived with Brooke as a permanent foster child for over a year, Rachel became Rachel Evangeline Larkin Cone. In honor of her new daughter, Brooke decided to throw a semi-formal party at their home in Paso Robles. There were at least 150 people there, and the activities including dancing, wonderful and heartfelt toastings, and, of course, eating.
