A little break from all the pregnancy talk, shall we? Today, for the first time in a long time, my mom and I got to go garage sale-ing! I went on Craigslist, picked out only the ones with the word “baby” in them, and off we went! I had a spectacular line-up of 6 sales. Turns out, ALLLLL of them had baby boy clothes/stuff!
Our small finds were cheap and numerous– I got around 12 new outfits for G, although some are a size or two bigger than current (he’s still in 6-9 month clothes…). Most of them were 50 cents– 1.50/each.
One of my favorites:
Also, a Boon Squirt Spoon for home-made babyfood, still sealed in the packaging, only $1!
But my favorite? I knew that with Baby #2, we should buy a co-sleeper that attaches to the bed. We used our pack n play for G, but I still had to physically get up and put him back in 2-3x a night for the first 6 months. We ended up resorting to having him sleep in the bed with us, something I was NOT comfortable with, deep down.
But when I researched, they were around $200 new. In the back of my mind, I wondered if we should just bite the bullet and use G’s pack n play for a few months. Only problem– what would we use when we visit the parents’ house? I don’t want to have to dismantle my baby’s bed, every time we spend an evening with family.
When we pulled up to garage sale #5, at Titan Garage Doors in Vancouver there it was. A barely used, full-sized Arm’s Reach Co-Sleeper. She wanted $50. I offered $40. We settled on $45.
All in all, good day of deals! It doesn’t hurt that we stopped and got yummy donuts at my favorite childhood donut store 🙂
